Who Are We?
Targeted Laser SEO is a Minneapolis SEO company. As a Minneapolis SEO expert for over 10 years, we’ve successfully run SEO marketing campaigns that have helped dozens of businesses increase their SEO and consequently boost business.
We integrate beautiful web design and hyperlocal SEO marketing strategies to quickly and effectively increase your SEO.

I know there are a lot of questions regarding SEO, so below I’ve answered a couple of the most common SEO questions.
“Why does my business need SEO?”
Think about what just happened before you came to this website:
For the past couple of months you’ve tried a couple of different things on your own to increase your SEO.
If you’ve read a couple of how-to articles and, whenever the time permitted, did a little work.
But you’ve gotten fed up with that:
So about 5 minutes ago you searched for “best Minneapolis SEO,” “Minneapolis SEO consultant” or maybe “SEO services Minneapolis” into Google, yeah?
And now you’re here. You’re reading this article on our website. You can agree with that, right?
Well, that alone is proof that SEO works:
I’ve spent a lot of time and energy optimizing this website for SEO so that people like you would arrive on this page.
I think a story might help explain SEO a little better.
A story that costs businesses like yours thousands of dollars.
I want you to imagine that you’re an interior designer in Minneapolis.
I’m not too good at interior design. My wife tells me that all the time. But that’s besides the point.
Just stay with me. I promise you this will all make sense in less than 60 seconds.
And let’s say there’s a wealthy family in Minneapolis. They decided to upgrade, so they bought a house in Wayzata. Or maybe Edina.
And of course we’re dealing with a wealthy family here, right? And of course this wealthy family wants their new house to feel like a welcoming home.
So what do they do?
While waiting to pick up her sons from private school, Angela (the mom and wife of this wealthy family) pulls out her smartphone and searches for one of two things in Google:
1. “Interior designer in Minneapolis”
2. “Interior designer near me”
And this is the part of the story that gets really sad for you.
When Google runs its algorithm to help Angela find the best interior designer in Minneapolis, your business doesn’t show up.
So Angela ends up hiring your main competitor. And since she wants to redecorate the whole house, she ends up paying the interior designer $100/hour.
After 22 hours of work (yeah, they went all out on decorating this house), Angela makes $2,200.
And just because your SEO wasn’t optimized, you missed out on around $2,200 worth of business.
How does Angela’s story relate to your business?
Stories like this happen every day with your business.
There will be people out there, people like Angela, that are searching for something that your business can help with.
And they’re searching with the intent to purchase.
So if you’re not showing up on Google, then there’s a good chance you’re missing out on hundreds, or thousands, or maybe even tens of thousands of dollars.
As a small business owner, the thought of that should scare the shit out of you.
“How long will it take for us to see increased traffic to our website?”
SEO is an extensive, semi-grueling, and meticulous process.
It takes a lot of strategic energy.
On top of that, the answer to this question is totally dependent on your business, the industry you operate in, and your current search engine rankings.
The best I can do to answer this question is to use generalities:
SEO, on average, takes between 3 to 9 months to see increased traffic to your website.
SEO also works exponentially.
So the first 2 or 3 months you may not see much movement in your traffic.
But once organic traffic begins to increase, then it should continue to increase exponentially.
I’ll explain why SEO increases exponentially:
Let’s say your website is ranked 15th for the keywords “Lawn Care Minneapolis.” You’d probably be on the bottom of the second page of Google with that ranking.
And you don’t want to be on the bottom of the second page of Google:
After optimizing your website for SEO you slowly start seeing increases in traffic.
After 4 months you’re ranked 8th on Google. And that means you finally made it to the bottom of the first page of Google.
Since you’re on the first page of Google, you’re much more likely to get organic clicks.
And since more people start clicking on your page (and going to your new, beautifully redesigned website, spending time engaging with your well-written content, and purchasing your product or service), then Google will take notice.
After just a couple more weeks you’re suddenly ranked 3rd.
“But how do I increase my website’s traffic with SEO?”
The best thing that you can do to increase your traffic is to create engaging content that adds value to the user.
“What is content?”
Content can be articles, videos, e-books, free downloads, whitepapers, and more.
The content that you create is going to depend on your business.
Articles may work better for your audience. Or maybe videos that tell a story would be more engaging.
Effective content creation begins with creating a persona of your audience.
1. What’s the average age of your targeted customer?
2. What do they go to bed worrying about?
3. What’s important to them?
4. What are their dreams and goals? Where do they want to be in five years?
5. What do your potential customers/followers/readers WANT or NEED to see? Don’t think in terms of what YOU want to create.
Based on your audience, you can then cater the content to connect with them and where they’re at in their lives.
“How do I create engaging content?”
If you’re going to create written content, then you better be a writer in your spare time.
If you’re not a great writer, it’s probably best to hire one.
You can’t take this lightly:
So if you’re the type of person that just wants to “knock out some content” this weekend, then that might not work so well for your SEO.
Content marketing is a learned skill over a long period of time.
Your content needs to be optimized for a relevant keywords, long-tail keywords, and LSI keywords. It needs to grab the reader’s attention with interesting images, videos, and other sources of media.
“Are there any other ways to increase my website’s traffic besides content creation?”
Yes, there definitely is.
I won’t be able to give specific details for each strategy, but you can increase your website’s traffic by doing the following:
- Generating backlinks from reputable websites
- Optimizing your mobile website
- Strategically marketing in other ways (social media marketing, digital advertising, radio ads, etc)
At this point, you might be thinking “I see the benefit of increasing my SEO. But I don’t know if I have the budget for it. So…”
“How much does hiring an SEO expert cost?”
Let me ask a question. This is serious.
If you buy a new TV for $50, what do you think the quality would be like?
Now, let’s say you buy a new TV for $1299.00. What do you think the quality would be like?
You can probably expect the TV worth $1299 to have a better resolution, be a new model, have a higher resolution, and to last longer (maybe it even comes with a warranty).
It’s the exact same with SEO:
I’m didn’t bring the TV comparison up to hint that you’ll need to spend a fortune to hire a professional SEO firm.
But if you pay some local high school kid “with over a year’s experience” $20/hour to increase your SEO, don’t expect great results.
“I get it. So what’s the average cost to hire an SEO consultant?”
SEO firms, on average, will charge between $300 and $2000 per month.
This depends on the size of your company, where your SEO is currently at (to determine how long their campaign will need to be), and the SEO firm’s prior track record.
But for most small businesses, the cost is around $500 to $600 a month.
Our pricing is towards the bottom of that scale. Although we’ve helped hundreds of businesses increase their SEO, we’ve developed a strategic hyperlocal marketing and SEO platform that heavily reduces our costs.
Therefore we can get more done for you. And we can get it done much quicker and more efficiently than other SEO firms.
